Meadowbank reopening next month

Edinburgh Leisure has announced an opening date for the long-awaited Meadowbank Sports Centre. The centre closed in 2017 for a multi-million pound redevelopment of facilities. Former Castlebrae High School to be demolished after vandalism

The new Castlebrae High School in Craigmillar opened on April 26 and within two weeks windows at the old school had been smashed, the building broken into and toilets vandalised.  Police were also called to reports of people on the roof.
