The Edinburgh TV Festival have announced the first wave of guests including Logan Roy himself, Scottish actor Brian Cox
The festival will return with an in-person event this year, running from August 24-26. Other speakers for the event include Kit Connor, Rose Matafeo, Dolly Alderton and the stars of Ghosts.
The festival will launch with a 45-minute TV Festival special of the BBC’s The Repair Shop with Jay Blades & some of the experts to mark its fifth anniversary.
EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis, a pioneer for the deaf community and BSL campaigner, will be delivering the Alternative MacTaggart lecture. In an uncompromising speech about her experiences as a deaf actress and, in a timely follow up to Jack Thorne’s blistering 2021 MacTaggart lecture, she will be addressing the stark realities of life as a young person with disability in this industry.
