Merry COVIDMAS: Nicola Sturgeon says “minimise your social mixing with other households”

New guidelines have been established by the First minister

The FM’s address today was clear and to the point. It’s about limiting contact with other families, not removing contact completely.

She asked people to think about how many people they would be coming into contact with as cases of Omicron COVID-19 rip through Scotland.

She said there are no limits or hard restrictions being placed upon the festive period.

She asked the Scottish people to try and only mix with three other households if they intended to socialise indoors this Christmas.

She also encouraged the use of lateral flow tests before going to social events. Nicola Sturgeon said that the advice was not being issued lightly.
