The iconic Jenners sign has been replaced and is now back where it belongs.

The removal of the sign was a shock for the building landlord, Anders Holch Povlsen, who said he had no idea why it had been removed.

Sports Direct’s Mike Ashley was instructed to reinstate the golden sign by council officials, after taking it down without permission.

Today, people passing by the store saw a striking sight, as workers were on the roof of the store, replacing the sign.

There are now plans to transform part of the historic Jenners department store into a hotel.
