The latest Batman film, starring Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, is set to be shot in the capital in June.

The movie franchise has chosen Edinburgh to shoot some of the key scenes for their new producion ‘The Flash’.

It has not yet been confirmed which buildings and streets will be included in the set, but crews are expected to be seen around the city throughout summer.

Scenes have already been shot in London, but the cast plan on travelling to Scotland for some of the movie’s filming which will take place in both Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The film is not connected to ‘The Batman’, starring Robert Pattinson, which is expected to be the future of the Batman franchise. Instead, Keaton and Affleck will both take on the role for the last time.

The capital is becoming a popular location for Blockbuster films to be set – and we aren’t complaining!
