Edinburgh's Christmas

Of course a serious contender in the Christmas calendar is Edinburgh’s famous Christmas Market – Edinburgh’s Christmas. With events including the Lidl ice rink, Santa’s grotto and the big wheel offering views of the iconic skyline. Tickets for all events are NOW on sale. The event will run from the 19th November until the 4th January.

Edinburgh Zoo Christmas Nights

From Friday the 19th of November, visitors to Edinburgh Zoo will be able to wonder around under thousands of fairy lights, with the opportunity to meet Father Christmas for visitors. Tickets are on sale now, with the last admission at 7.45 for close at 9PM. If you’re looking for a quieter visit to the event, December 10th is an adults only evening at the zoo.

Castle of Light @ Edinburgh Castle

Unbelievable lights, colours and visuals will be projected upon one of Edinburgh’s most iconic landmarks – The Castle. Organisers say “Expect wonder, enchantment and a spectacle of colour this festive season as Edinburgh Castle, the defender of the nation, becomes the ‘Castle of Light’ once again.” Visit between 19th Nov and 9th of Jan.

Christmas with Il Divo

The classical crossover group are back with an evening of festive favourites. They’ll be performing at Usher Hall on 12th December. The event was previously postponed due to COVID, original and new tickets are valid.

Drive in Cinema Tour - TRAILERS BELOW

Some of the nations favourite “Christmas Classics” as part of a Drive in Cinema Tour. The Drive In Cinema Company was established in 2020 offering an alternative form of entertainment at the height of the coronavirus pandemic. The tour will be in Edinburgh for Saturday and Sunday the 4th & 5th of December at Murrayfield Ice Rink.

Tickets start at £33.00 per vehicle.

Love Actually - LIVE in Concert Edinburgh

It’s not Christmas until you’ve seen Love Actually and now… you can see it like NEVER before with a LIVE orchestra playing along.

Santa Parade & Fun Run - Inverleith Park

With live and virtual events taking place, there is something for everyone. Run, walk, stroll or toddle – There will be a medal for all entrants for the Christmas Run & Walks. The BIG MAN himself will even be putting in an appearance, with Santa’s grotto open on both days. Sign up here.

White Christmas @ Edinburgh Playhouse

Catch ‘White Christmas‘ at the Playhouse between the 14th December and 2nd January as they bring the magic of Christmas to life. Organisers say “Join veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis as fuelled by love, the all singing, all dancing duo follow the stunning Haynes Sisters, Betty & Judy to Vermont lodge for a special Christmas show.
