After 19 seasons, Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show will draw to a close. Ratings of the once-popular show have been falling dramatically over the last year amidst allegations of professional misconduct and staff being made to work in a “toxic” work environment where they felt they were bullied. The final series is on its way with the 2021/2022 series will be the 19th series.

She candidly revealed the show isn’t a challenge for her anymore. Tomorrow (May 13th) will see a special episode of The Ellen Show, where she will sit down with Oprah Winfrey. It’s not the first time we’ve been close to the end of The Ellen Show. Back in 2018, her partner asked her not to renew the contract which films 180 episodes a year. However, the production company, Warner Brothers, encouraged her to sign for another three years, but Ellen stated at the time this would be her last.

It’s currently not clear exactly what the reasoning is behind the departure of one of the most iconic American daytime presenters, but all will become clear in the coming days with Oprah Winfrey.
