Edge Radio Scotland’s Hit Music Station
BEAR Scotland, Transport Scotland’s operating company, is set to resurface 1.5 kilometres of the eastbound M8 near Livingston over three overnight carriageway closures commencing on Wednesday 27 July 2022.
On the nights of 27, 28 and 29 July, the eastbound M8 between Junction 3A and Junction 3 will be closed between the hours of 20:30 until 06:00. A signed diversion route will be in place from Junction 3A to Junction 3 via the A779, A89 and A899, adding approximately 7 minutes and 5.5 miles to affected journeys.
Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
The Met Office amber warning for extreme heat has been extended to cover a larger part of Scotland. The extreme heat was originally forecast to affect only parts of southern Scotland. But now the Met Office has extended the amber warning to eastern areas. This includes Fife, the Lothians and parts of Tayside, Perthshire and central Scotland.
