Marcus Rashford receives MBE for “Free School Meals” campaign

Prince William awarded the player the honour

Manchester United player Marcus Rashford was yesterday awarded an MBE for his services to children during the pandemic. Rashford campaigned for extensions and improvements to the governments ‘free school meals’ policies. The government acknowledged his campaign, and eventually initiated a U-Turn.    

Marcus Rashford was accompanied to the palace by his mother Mel. The pair both wore burberry, and released the following moving video on Instagram. Marcus also made an appearance in the Aldi christmas advert released yesterday, playing “Marcus Raddishford.”
