Steps are "working with authorities" after Omicron cases rise

Pop band Steps are “working with authorities” in the wake of their tour being linked to rising numbers of COVID-19 cases.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has announced the show which took place at the Hydro Arena was one of the sources of the Omicron variant of coronavirus in Scotland.

16 of Scotland’s 29 Omicron infections were tested and recorded within the last 24 hour period.

Steps have postponed the remainder of the tour after one band member, Lee, came down with the virus.

The band issued the following statement on their social media pages.
