HBO’s youth series “Euphoria” doubled viewership.

Variety has reported that the number of viewers of HBO’s “Euphoria” has almost doubled. The series, which follows a group of high school students where they navigate through love and friendship in a world of drugs, sex, trauma, and social media.

While on average 6.1 million people watched each episode of the first season, the same number for the second season is 13.1 million.

“Euphoria” is created, written, produced, and directed by Sam Levinson, and with Drake as producer.

The first season brought the series’ biggest star, Zendaya, her first Emmy Award – as the youngest ever winner in the category of best female drama actress. That was in 2020 for the first season, and she was only 24 years old.

There is a strong, young ensemble surrounding Zendaya: Maude Apatow (“Girls”), Angus Cloud, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Barbie Ferreira, Nika King, Storm Reid, Hunter Schafer, Algee Smith and Sydney Sweeney (“Sharp Objects”).


You can watch HBO’s “Euphoria” on NOW/Sky Atlantic every Monday from 9pm.
