Radio Presenter Steve Wright dies at 69

Broadcaster Steve Wright, who presented programmes for BBC Radio 1 and Radio 2 for more than 40 years, has died at the age of 69 - on World Radio Day.

The BBC paid tribute to Steve Wright on X with a statement:

"No-one had more energy to deliver shows that put a smile on audiences’ faces. They loved him deeply."
